Covid-19 Protocols:
Mettler Studios highly recommends participants have up to date Covid-19 vaccinations for all Mettler Studios in-person classes and events. Masks and sanitizer will be available to all who wish to use them.
For in-person courses meeting on consecutive days, we also ask that participants take a Covid test
immediately before attending. Unvaccinated participants will need to test twice weekly during a course. See the

Winter Dance Retreat

The retreat is a 5-day gathering of dancers to practice group dance improvisation inspired by the principles and methods developed by Barbara Mettler. Participants are expected to be familiar with Mettler-based dance. Dancers who are relatively new to this practice may participate with permission of the instructor, Griff Goehring. The Retreat focuses on deepening participants’ understanding of this approach to dance and refining their skills as dance artists

Explore movement expressions through the free approach to body movement pioneered by Barbara Mettler. A variety of movement themes will be presented to encourage students to cultivate kinesthetic awareness, creativity and connection.
Please wear black top and bottom without designs or logos.
For safety reasons, jewelry should not be worn during class.
Prior dance experience not needed.
